I ordered 7lbs of coffee from tmwardcoffee and they only sent me 6lbs. This shouldn’t have been an issue - everyone makes mistakes. I reached out to them about it and they said they would look into it. Two days later I had to contact them again for a status and they said they “found it on the shelf” and asked if I wanted a refund or just add it on my next order. I replied neither, please send the missing coffee. The next day they said they were low on that particular bean and would issue a refund for the one pound of beans instead. I understand they don’t want to be responsible for shipping costs but they’re the ones who messed up and should have made it right. Or if they were truly out of that bean they should have apologized and offered a different kind instead. It’s not about the missing coffee it’s about the business practice in how they dealt with the mistake. I won’t be ordering from here again.

I buy alot of coffee beans from different vendors. TM Ward is an old company and that may be their downfall. The owners are not in the store. The beans are over roasted so they smell like burnt cigarettes in the bag. And yes it tastes that way after brewing. Its sad to see an older company fail on quality.

Just had to stop at T.M. Ward Coffee when I saw this place opened in 1869! Just imagine! Great selection of whole bean coffees, nuts, dried fruits. It's a lot to look at. Staff is very friendly and seems a lot of locals are in and out for a chat & coffee. No place to sit. large selection of too-go coffee and cold drinks, teas you can pour yourself - unsweetened hibiscus, hot green tea. Sorry I did not see if they were making custom coffees like lattes ect., oops. small fridge in the back with cold drinks including ginger beer and an many individually packed slices of a very interesting sweet bread, almost cake, I did not catch the name but it looked delicious. Parking might be a touch challenging but located right on the wide main road. Looking forward to stopping by again when in the area.

TM Ward's cannot be beat! They've got it all! They've got coffee, tea, candy, peanuts. You name it, they've got it! They've got so many different coffee flavors, blends, and single-origin choices it'll do your head in! You gotta get the 🥜 when they're hot. I don't know if there's a schedule when they heat them up, but they're better hot.

If you're a Avid coffee drinker this is a must stop if you're in Newark. The smell is intoxicating as you walk through the door you're hit with multiple coffee Aromas with the mixture of Sweetness from the candies and the roasting of the nuts. The Latte is unbelievably good huge selection of different roasts and different beans lots of assortments a nuts in fresh dried fruits along with candies and chocolate covered everything
